Inexpensive alternative: CNC milled quality.

This part is machined of solid aluminum, not a casting. It is an ideal replacement for the original Thermostat and it will make it much easier to change the filter going forward.
Price per piece.

It can also be used when adding an oil cooler to your engine (BMW /7 models and later) When doing so, you'll need to change out the inner pipe to the longer version art.no. 1142387.
